Hi All,
I
I have just started from my place to Chennai International Airport for Boston! My Entire Family including Poonam and priya along with their parents have come down to see me off. I am very much excited on the prospect of visiting other country. I could find a sense of achievement in my dad 's face since it was his dream that his son travel to US and So i was all set to fulfill his dream. Mom as usual was in a semi nervous mood and tensed since she was quite sad at the thought of me going alone there for three months.
I just reached Chennai S International Airport say around 10.30 pm. I was surprised to see the departure terminal jam packed like a Local State corporation Bus Station. The Infrastructure was so inadequate that for getting my luggage screened and checked in it took me a couple of hours. All this time all my relatives were so patienly waiting for me, After getting the first hurdle cleared~ i just went and met all of my relatives for few minutes since there were many visitors across the barricades and Iron Rod Bars which was separting us. I just got wishes from everyone and headed staright for the Immigration Checking. After seeing MOM i am sure if i would have seen there for another few seconds she would have broken down which would have made me although more sad .
Again there was a huge Queue at the Immigiration counter, I got my Form filled up while i was in queue and say in 20 odd minutes i got my immigiration checked and proceeded towards Security Check In.
Oh I just forgot to inform you at this point of time My flight was delayed by couple of hours with the expected time of departure at 3.30 am due to late arrival of Air France Aircraft from Paris, I guess this should not be a problem since my connecting Flight from Boston to Paris was scheduled after a gap of five hours after my arrival at Paris Charles De Gaulle International Airport.
The Flight AF 201 Finally arrived at the Paris International Airport delayed by three and half hours. Most of the Co-passengers have already missed their connecting flights to various cities. But luckily I still had close to 1 and half hour to make it for my connecting flight to Boston. I rushed from Terminal C to Terminal 2E. Got my hand luggaged screened in and made it to the Boston Flight~ on time :)
Paris Airport i felt is itself a city. Its huge and its Infrastructre was so mindblowing. Wonder When Indian Airports would reach that. I was waiting for about Half an Hour at paris for the Boston Flight! Everywhere i saw White people and I must say that gals all round were so beautiful and Hot :) It was a wonderful sightseeing altogether :)
Around 2 o clock I boarded the Air France jet to Boston.Plane such a huge one i mean much bigger than my Chennai Paris Flight.
My seat was at the rear of the plane so had to my way all the length of the plane. After getting settled down , i was served Asian Meals ( I specialy ordered for it while booking the ticket ) and ASian Snacks! Initally It was good to have bread/ toast but after sometime it was getting monotonous :(
I landed Boston at 3 pm EST and WEnt for the Custom Immigiration Check. I was asked a few questions as to why i have come down to US and which client. After convinving me he stamped by passport for 3 months till OCtober 5th 2008.
My Cousin (Varun) along with this friend (Karthik) in his Toyota was bang on Time to pick me up at Boston Logan International Airport. We headed straight to Varun's house in Waltham, Boston Suburban. Neethi and Shobha Bhabi were waiting for my arrival and gave me a warm welcome. Neethi Bhabi was really helpful and helped me a lot to get accoustmed to the place :)
I am feeling really lucky coz i am in the midst of my Home inpsite being away from Home.
Looking forward to have a nice time in Boston both Professionally and personally.
I will keep on updating my blog :) so stay tuned!
Rgds, Varun
